Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Let’s break down each thing:
Wonderful Counselor: a person who gives advice. Jesus was going to guide people out of trouble and help fix their lives.
Mighty God: Not only was he going to lead them out of trouble -it was through the greatest source. Before God’s child was sent – there were only temporary fixes. When God gives a gift – it is everlasting.
“Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your instruction is true.” Psalm 119:142
Eternal Father: Not only was he the savior’s father – he is an “infinite” father. Everything is his child. Because we are all sons and daughters he blesses and takes care of us. No matter who our earth parents are he is the highest parent.
Prince of Peace: In the New Testament was given a beautiful name: Jesus
What a mighty God we serve. He can deliver us from anything and call us his own. No matter the situation – he will keep his promise and deliver us from any evil.
