2 things that will happen in life.
You will be hurt and you will hurt people. You may not do it intentionally – but it is inevitable. In recent years, I have hurt people from walking away. I love myself way too much than to stay in something that is toxic to my well being.
We always direct forgiveness towards other people. “They did this and that.” Today I want to take a different approach.
There are times in life the main person we need to forgive is ourselves. “If I knew something was going to go bad, I would have done it this way. I just didn’t know” Guilty and feeling ashamed are reactions to “mistakes” we made in life.
Yes, we should be accountable for our actions making us guilty as charged. But that does not automatically mean something is wrong with us – we are simply just doing the best we can.
Pick yourself off the ground and keep pushing towards a brighter future. The only failure is staying in the same place instead of trying to grow and improve.
