Goodness

Goodness. This is one of the most difficult topics to talk about. For me, it is so broad.

The dictionary defines it as “the quality of being good. ”

As you go more in depth of this definition you see the words integrity, honesty, quality.

When I first started this blog, I had no idea what I wanted to talk about. I knew for a fact the best way to reach out to people is from my own experiences.

Saying something and sticking by it is so important. “I’m going to be supportive.” “I’m going to be there.” Those quotes really mean something to people who are allowing themselves to be vulnerable. When saying these things – the person accepts your plan to be present without any judgment of the circumstances.

Quality is also a key point to goodness. Customer service & being accountable for a relationship are good examples. People will remember someone who will go the extra mile to make sure things run smooth. No – you don’t have to be perfect – just show that you’re trying.

I hope you will pursue this fruit with excellence and grace. Remember that someone will appreciate your efforts.

Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people, Colossians 3:23

Tuesday Prayer 2/20/2018

Hello everyone. Glad you could make it to this weeks prayer.

God,

Thank you for allowing everything to develop in your time. I may not have everything I want, but I thank you for provding all my needs.

I want to continue to walk and develop with you. Even though I’m not perfect – my heart and, mind, and body want to serve you. Please continue to bless me so that I may live a long prosperous life. Let me grow in my hunger for you. Before I search for anything else – please allow me to pursue the kingdom of heaven first.

I pray that my plans go with where you wish my life to be. Let me continue to develop in my spirit so that I may serve others with love and kindness.

In Jesus Name,

  • Amen

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “the one who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

Kindness

We’ve all been there. You get into an argument with someone. Our first reaction is to start bringing up all of those bad things we think about them. Sure we would never say it to them if we weren’t upset and hurt, but it’s a battle and we have to win.

When I was a young girl in college — saying the first bad thought that came to my mind felt good. “Oh yeah, you want to be hurt my feelings? Well, let’s see how you like this.”

People aren’t perfect – someone will do or say something that you don’t like. I had to start putting myself in other people’s shoes.

Kindness comes from understanding someone’s weaknesses and choosing not to hurt them. It’s easy to call a person out on their insecurities so you feel great for the moment. Everyone has bad days – including you. I wouldn’t want someone to kick me when I’m down, so I try not to do it to others.

Being kind does not mean you can’t be assertive or speak your truth. I mean the truth does set you free (John 8:32). However, when you say what needs to be said, you can be considerate of the another’s circumstances. You may know they are going through this or that – don’t make them feel even worst, no matter how good it feels. Believe me, it will come back to bite you.

Kindness – a fruit that is worth the development.

10 Then he said, “May the Lord bless you, my daughter. You have shown more kindness now than before, because you have not pursued younger men, whether rich or poor. Ruth 3:10

Patience : Fruit of the Spirit

So like I stated in my goals post, men have expressed their interest in me. They were great guys and I found they had potential.

No, I’m not looking for perfection. But the question I have is: how am I supposed to submit to a man who doesn’t even believe in himself.

I’m 25 and my parents are worried I can’t a find a partner. I’m like “relax, I’ve only been single for 6 months, I’m not trying to get into something I will regret for the rest of my life.” And this is where patience comes in.

If this is the season to rest and develop, that is what I’m going to do. Being jealous of other relationships is not going to help my situation. When the right partner comes – I want to fully enjoy him. Bringing baggage and complaints to the table is not a goal of mine.

“He may not come when you want him – but he’ll there right on time” is an old school song we used to sing. God always gives us the things we need, rather than what we want.

Trusting in the highest father is what I’m doing, and I know it will be worth the wait.

In the meantime, I’m making sure my apartment is clean, and I cook meals – even if it’s just for myself. Preparing and evolving is what I’m using my singleness for.

A man who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.

Tuesday Prayer 2/13/2017

God thank you for providing a life that I never thought I would have. Thank you for allowing things to come together in your time. Even if I don’t fully understand the plans you have over my life, I accept whatever path you want me to take

Sometimes I feel like giving up and throwing in the towel on my dreams. I know that you will always provide all of my needs, even if my wants are pushed the side. I pray that you continue to show me your grace and mercy during difficult times. If I ever feel my hope slipping, I pray that you pick me back up. Let me pursue excellence while also seeking the righteousness of heaven.

I want to serve you with a whole heart. Please see my soul and know that I am at least trying not to conform to this world. I want to see how much you value me through your eyes. I want to value others how you value them. Do not let my heart harden by the uncertainty of life.

Your kingdom comes, your will be done on earth how it is done in heaven.

In Jesus Name,

[Amen]

God is our refuge and strength,
a helper who is always found
in times of trouble.
Therefore we will not be afraid,
though the earth trembles
and the mountains topple
into the depths of the seas,
though its water roars and foams
and the mountains quake with its turmoil.Selah

Personal Goals 2018

Today, I’m taking a break a break from fruits of the spirit. I thought it would help to share my personal goals with you for 2018. These 5 things I goals wrote to inspire you to create your own. I really hope you enjoy them.

  1. Find someone worth marrying.
    1. There are a few guys that have expressed their interest. Even though I’m not desperate, it would be nice to share my happiness with someone. I know for sure a special man is out there.
  2. To have success for this blog by helping others.
    1. I’m not going to lie, writing for this blog is hard work. It is so rewarding to have reached 6,000 people. Jesus is amazing; the world needs to know that. If I can do my little bitty part, I will be satisfied.
  3. Explore the world more.
    1. I live in the United States. The only place I’ve been is to the Bahamas. It would be nice to travel to see different cultures. Expanding my perception of life would be perfect.
  4. Be wiser with my money
    1. Lately, my financial life has been crazy. Having financial freedom is my goal. Right now, I need to think about the bigger picture rather than what I want to do. [Need vs want — 2 totally different things.]
  5. Take Better care of myself.
    1. Everyone says – “be sure to give to others. Don’t forget the needs of people.” The truth we all need to face is: we can’t help anyone until we cater to our needs first. What can we do without our holistic health? Going to the gym, eating right, socializing, going to church, spending time with family, etc. are just as important as giving back.

So these are a list of my goals for 2018. I will keep you updated on the process. If you have things you want to accomplish, write them down and ask God to help fulfill those needs. God bless and I will talk to you Tuesday.

PROVERBS 16:9

Peace [Fruit of the Spirit]

Trials and tribulations are inevitable. There will be bad days.

Yes, it is possible to have this fruit of the spirit. No matter your situation or thoughts, you can have peace.

Praying to God is what got me through some of my darkest hours. “This is what’s going on, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I pray that you take this pain away from me.”

This previous Sunday it was pouring down rain. I had enough faith to drive to church. Once I got in the parking lot, volunteers were waiting for people with umbrellas. They didn’t ask questions or judge the rain.  We all kept the umbrella until we safely got in the building.

No matter how bad it may seem, he wants to give you peace in your storm. Peace helps to develop your strength while you are waiting for the light to shine.

Please give God the authority over your mind and emotions. Our father can reassure us during imperfect times.

A peaceful mind will help you make the best decisions for your life to become whole. So please pray for this fruit.

Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

James 3:18
