When I used to hear the phrase “Christian Lifestyle” I used to think “here comes another boring stuck up person telling me what I cannot do.” Then the feeling of wanting to run the other direction when some random stranger is handing out bibles (especially when I was in college.)
As I matured in my walk, I learned a few things that I want to share with you all.
Here are a few tips about the lifestyle:
- Christians believe in Jesus as their personal savior.
- The objective of the lifestyle is to honor ourselves as a temple while having the love for others and our environment.
- Christians are supposed to demonstrate their faith everywhere they go. I used to go the Gym and not speak to anyone. Somehow people started picking up conversations with me. It didn’t matter what I initially wanted to do, I had to represent my religion.
- Obviously, you don’t throw a bible and holy water at someone screaming “repent or you’re going to hell!” Jesus says the most important part of a Christian lifestyle is love for others (Mark 12:30-31.) In another scripture, it explains what love is (1 Corinthians 13.) Having respect and compassion for others is what being a Christian is all about. How you treat yourself and others is a reflection of how much you allow God to move in your life. Another thing I want to point out is no you don’t have to be perfect. Your heart is the first thing you should focus on – it will change everything else (Proverbs 4:23)
- There are several reasons why walking with Jesus is such a great thing. If I had one sentence to say it would be: “he is the source that fulfills all needs.”
I try to write from my own experiences. I hope my examples will influence your personal walk in Christianity.
We have come to end of April. I hope you are enjoying growing together. Here is this weeks prayer.
I thank you for giving me the encouragement to pray with others. Thank you for giving us the blessings of grace.
I pray to continue to develop and grow. Let me not be afraid of change. Please give me the strength to endure being uncomfortable. I pray that you will reveal who we all are in the holy spirit. Let our confidence mature so that we will let nothing stop us from who we were called to be.
Your worth is beyond measure. You are perfect in all of your ways and I’m so happy that I am able to serve you.
In Jesus Name,
5 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1
If you ever met me in person you would probably say “man she is really quiet.” I love people, I’m just naturally reserved and an introvert.
Because I’m so quiet, I’m really good at listening and catering to other’s needs. I have learned so much from just sitting and letting people talk & “be themselves.”
May I suggest the challenge of silence for a bit. You might be surprised to find it is pretty powerful.
To be clear it’s ok to respectfully say something. Talking freely is good and needed sometimes. As the saying goes you were given 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason. Listening and hearing your environment should balance out speaking.
The one who has knowledge restrains his words,
and one who keeps a cool head
is a person of understanding.
Even a fool is considered wise when he keeps silent—
discerning, when he seals his lips. Proverbs 17:27-28
One of the things I have been doing this month is planning around the visions I have for my life. This includes Budgeting, creating charts, and research. I pray my friends don’t think I’m crazy when they tag along on tours to event spaces.
I may not have concrete answers to life, but I know if it is placed in my heart and mind – I can do it.
It has become a hobby of mine to dream and plan for everything I want. Use this as a message to put work to faith. It may seem weird at first, but it will give you the motivation to keep striving at life.
The only rule I follow when dreaming is not to have a specific time frame. There are certain things that you cannot rush God to do. He has a season for everything to unfold. Like they say it will be worth the wait.
Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. 2 For by it our ancestors won God’s approval.
3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.
Do we call this the middle of April? Welcome to this week’s prayer. Hopefully, your week is going well.
Thank you for providing me everything I need. This phase in my life has brought anxiety, I thank you for guiding me through.
Please help me to a person of character and integrity. Let me live a life that strives for excellence and hard work. If there is anything that needs to be nurtured and developed in my life let it be done. I pray to continue to have healthy relationships in my life so that I may be pushed into my greater purpose.
Thank you for giving Jesus to this world so that we may have everlasting life.
In Jesus name, I pray
24 knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:24
Just a quick blog before I post this weeks prayer, I’m in the process of responding to emails. Thank you for being so patient with me. Your support is really appreciated and I will try to get to as many emails as I can.

Ugh hello everyone,
If only you knew how hard it is to open with how I’ve really been feeling lately. I’m thinking about my future. My mind is filled with a million and one “I guess I’m an adult now” things.
Then this takes me back to when I ever start anything great in this city. My mom had to force me out of the nest and become a fully able woman. Bored and single I started this blog with a cute puppy I didn’t ask for. All these things were a blessing I didn’t see value in until I looked back over it all.
I’m scared thinking about the future – but I believe God will provide me everything that I need for every moment I have in life. With him all things are possible and I know I will more than okay.
6 Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
