One night, I had this wild dream. I went back in time to the Garden of Eden. This led me to read Adam and Eve’s story in the book of Genesis. There was one verse that seemed so simple at a first glimpse. The message was so profound once I read my Study Bible notes.
Are you ready?
Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being. — Genesis 2:7
Did you catch that?
According to the commentary – God sculpted man with perfect design. Not only was he a “material being”, God’s breath gave man spirit. We are all half man and half spirit.
God left nothing to accident. Every part of our body has a purpose and function. We were created with great detail. Our father knows exactly how many hairs our body has.
While our bodies have absolute design, it is also important to remember we are spiritual beings. We have the most capacity out of all species to reflect the image of God. We are beautiful representatives of the work of the creator. Here we are in this world loving, adapting, and innovating so many wonderful things.
So yes, we are all here – sharing a moment of time. Please also remember we are a divine spiritual temple.
