This was written September 1st before I actually started the group. All information about group members is confidential. I have not met or discussed anything with members. This is my experience from the Bible Study. Thank You.
In my “Switching Gears” post, I mentioned that I was changing my schedule. Bible Study in my small women’s group is a new component of my life. Before I actually become a leader, my church has something called an apprenticeship. This is where I will learn from people who already led the group. The ladies that will be teaching me are extremely sweet and full of knowledge.
So you’re here to figure out what my bible study is about. Well, we are going through this book called “Me, Myself and Lies.” Jennifer Rothschild created a workbook for women to help get through negative self-talk. The purpose of the book is to give a “thought closet makeover.”
If you willing to put in the work, I recommend this bible study. It will give you verses to look up and questions to think about how you talk to yourself. Every day for 6 weeks, you will be challenged to declutter your thoughts.
I’m getting a head start before I actually start the group. When I first started I was like ” this is hard. Am I doing it the right way?” A Study Bible really helped me piece things together. “Wow, I had no idea that was in the bible,” I say as I’m really going in depth.
It’s really exciting to prepare to share and help others in their journey. I cannot wait to connect with amazing women of Christ.
