An art teacher in my high school gave the class a quote one day – it stuck with me to this day. “What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?”

To elaborate I will ask: Would you take more risk? Would you leave an unhealthy circumstance with no answers to what will happen next? Would you be generous with your smile and love? I mean seriously, what would you do?

The fruit of faithfulness is so rebellious of what this world tells you about yourself.

“You know what? I don’t care what you think I deserve or who you think I am. I know I am a child of God and that means all my needs will be met and then some.”

When you walk with the presence of God in your life, you can conquer anything.

35 “‘Then I will raise up a faithful priest for myself. He will do whatever is in my heart and mind. I will establish a lasting dynasty for him, and he will walk before my anointed one for all time.

1 Samuel 2:35

Reminder of Him

He already knew all the highs and lows and the doubts you may have. Yet he is here with open arms.

Nothing will stop his love for you – it is unconditional. God loves you – he wants a relationship. He has prepared a future for you.

Everything is in order. A table of blessings is prepared for you.

Seek the kingdom of heaven and his glory. God will renew your strength and give you a fresh start.

Jesus: The Basics

Since Christmas is coming up, I thought I would write about the man that changed the game: Jesus. I want to point out bible verses that are not as popular in order to bring it all together.

They were saying, “Isn’t this Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?” John 6:42

Jesus was born to the Virgin Mary. Joseph was his earth father who helped raised him. He was always the son of God, but matured into his position as he got older.

But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31

Ok let’s break down this verse.

Messiah means the “expected king and deliverer of the Jews”. It also means Jesus was “a professed or accepted leader of some hope or cause” Dictionary Source

From the very beginning with Genesis, there was a lot of turmoil for God’s people. Blood sacrifices and crusades were a part of seeking righteous. God didn’t want to allow this to happen forever so he had a plan. The father sent his son down to save the Jews and everyone who believed in him away from a life that leads to destruction and death.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true one. We are in the true one—that is, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:20

“But what is eternal life if we are all going to die?” There are 2 types of deaths – spiritual death and physical death. If you believe in Jesus and follow his ways – your spirit will remain alive. Following the commandments and loving others will give a life of peace and prosperity- which is a lot better than having no hope and feeling like you’re just going through the motions. I know when I followed the world’s ways I always felt stuck in something that was going no where.

Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever does and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:19

When you die a physical death – those who follow Jesus will have a life in heaven with him. It will be an everlasting life of great joy and peace with our creator.

As the week progresses, I will go into more detail – this is a warm up to what I will be writing. I want everyone to enjoy the holiday and remember why we celebrate it in the first place.

Bible Verses for Overcoming Challenges

Your life is priceless.  Your are special. You matter. You have special gifts and qualities. Wipe away the doubt and tears. Put on your game face and conquer life.

Now when you go out for the day remember this:

10 Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens. 13 For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.  Ephesians 6:13

Don’t be afraid.  Those who follow Jesus are given peace and strength to conquer the world.

27 “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful. Isaiah 41:10

You got this – the lord is your strength. The power of God can conquer all.

Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust him and not be afraid, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is my strengthand my song. He has become my salvation.” Psalm 18:2

Remember – if you fight according to God’s will and purpose for your life, you will always have victory.

Now I know that the Lord gives victory to his anointed;
he will answer him from his holy heaven
with mighty victories from his right hand. Psalm 20:6

Here is a prayer I want to leave off with

God thank you for giving grace and the spirit to serve you.

I pray that you would protect me and guard my heart from anything that is not of you

I pray that everyone reading this will have peace and fulfilling joy

Please let them know they are worthy of your love and mercy for their lives

Let everything go well for them .

Any doubt or fears they may have I pray they conquer it by the mighty name of Jesus

And I pray as they go through the day they are given constant reminders of your faithful heart

In Jesus Name

God Loves You

Maybe you know and just need a reminder. Maybe you are doing your own thing and no one ever told you. I am writing this to you today to let you know God loves you.

You are so special. You were not a mistake. You created with perfect design. Every detail about you is known by the father. He loves you no matter how far you think you messed up.

See what great love[a] the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children—and we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it didn’t know him. 1 John 3:1

When I was in the world, it was hard to understand I had a father in heaven. “A parent in heaven loves me? Why has bad things happen to me?”

We have free will to do what ever we want. Just like a hot stove there are consequences to everything.

A good parent allows their children to learn some things on their own in order for them to mature and grow. I promise you God is always there with you. He will not let you endure anything you were not equipped to handle.

“Some things were out of my control especially as a child – that doesn’t make any sense.”

20 You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result—the survival of many people. Genesis 50:20

It’s true that there are evil forces in the world that don’t mean well for your life. Sometimes things just happen.

I realized when I come out of hard situations – I can use those testimony’s to help other seek Jesus.  Sharing our stories with others in the body of Christ creates a community that pleases God. When we stand together against the enemy – we are honoring God’s will.

Know that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps his gracious covenant loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love him and keep his commands. Deuteronomy 7:9

No matter what this world has going on. We must stay close to a God that will keep us in perfect peace through good and bad times. God’s faithfulness gives his believers everything they need to leave a productive life.

I challenge you to talk to your creator. It doesn’t matter what you say – just get the communication going. Watch him unfold in your life. Here is a starter prayer to help:

“God I want to know your true everlasting love. Somethings may not be perfect in my life but I am coming to you in faith to ask you to show me who you are. I want to know more about you and your son Jesus Christ. I want to know what being your child feels like. Please show me your grace and mercy. I want your will to be done in my life the way it is done in heaven. In Jesus name Amen.”

The Simple Lesson Most People Forget

It is so simple, but it’s not always easy. Everyone can do it – but many choose not to. This lesson can save a lot of people from reading a 300 page self-help book that may or may not help. Now I know you’re dying to know. Ready ? Alright here goes.

The lesson is : If you do the right thing with everything, you will end up ok.
“That’s all you have for me really? Of course I knew that.”
I told you in the opening that it was so simple but you did not believe me. Now I’m not going to write you an entire essay – I’m just going to create a simple table for the most common problems people have.

If this happens…..

The right thing to do is…..

Someone hurts your feelings

Forgive them and pray for them. It takes time but please don’t become bitter over that person. You’re only hurting yourself

You feel like you’re not getting treated fair

Respectfully stand up for yourself, and walk away from the situation. You don’t have to spend time in a space that does not serve you

You are not in the best money situation

Pray for wisdom for you finances. After that, brainstorm how you can make things better. Example: Go back to school, get a second job, learn a different trade, get professional advice

  • Always treat people how you want to be treated even if they don’t treat you the same

  • Always have a strong work ethic with integrity even if you don’t see the reward ahead

  • Always forgive even if they don’t say I’m sorry or like you anymore

  • Always respect others even if you don’t get the respect you think you deserve

These things seem so difficult and like you will never get any where. I promise you will get everything you need in life if you do the right thing.

That’s it – that’s the secret.

Yet do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that when you are accused, those who disparage your good conduct in Christ will be put to shame.1 Peter 3:16
