When we are walking with God, we develop wisdom and knowledge that is different from the world. Did you know that there is more than just a physical environment that we see with our eyes? There is also a spiritual side to everything. Discernment allows you and I to see things that are in both settings.
In a previous post, I wrote about how to test a person’s spirit. Someone with wisdom searches for answers when they meet new people. Those who are connected to God can get insight into those trying to enter their life. A person’s heart will always be revealed when they speak. [1 John 1:4] I can always trust what type of relationship I need to have with someone from the first conversation.
If you are unsure of a situation. Pray to God about the circumstance. One thing our father will always provide is wisdom [James 1:5]. It brings peace to know the Lord will never leave me in the dark. Once I trust in the lord, he brings a calmness to me. I rejoice when the truth is revealed – even if it goes sour. God is trying to prevent a life of suffering and turmoil.
When I was going through a rough patch, I asked God to reveal his truth. I invited the holy spirit inside my life to teach me how to handle dealing with someone. Turns out I was using past hurt and pain to judge a new person. Realizing that majority of the issue was my imagination persuaded me to repent and ask for forgiveness.
Building this gift takes time. You must have faith in yourself and God to know you will not be led wrong by your abilities to see what’s going on. When we use our wisdom from the lord to make things right – we will always live in abundance.
For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible,
whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things have been created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16
