No matter where Christians go – we sort of seem to stick out, including at work.
Being a Christian in the workforce is more than just talking about Jesus. Our work ethic must be strong with integrity. We must treat our neighbors with compassion and love.
“What about the coworkers and managers we cannot stand?”
That is a great question. I get that there are some people we are just not going to get along with. Some people just rub us the wrong way. The first thing to remember is you are not there to make friends – you are getting paid to get tasks done. Focusing on quality work should be more important than pleasing others. If someone is crossing boundaries, and you cannot avoid a situation – we can respectfully tell someone that some things are not tolerable. Remember that it can be a healthy balance between staying quiet yet being assertive to accomplish goals.
When we pursue a life of righteous – we are representing our beliefs to the best of our ability.
23 There is profit in all hard work, but endless talk leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23

Yesterday I got off work and rushed to work for production at my church. After running up the stairs, I was huffing and puffing.
Once we closed out, my pastor and production leader made it clear about a few things.
Right now we are in 21 days of prayer. Please take the time out to be in the presence of God. You are not obligated to be here. This is just another form of worship.
Working hard without the will of God is like riding a bicycle without the chain. You can pedal as fast as you want – but you need the chain to go somewhere.
At that moment I was like “I think he’s talking to me.”
My family has taught me to have a strong ethic and strive for excellence. Sometimes I forget to actually be in the moment. Without God what have I really accomplished in life? How far can I go? I don’t want the success and then realize it doesn’t mean anything because my spirit is not right.
So please take my experience as a note: work hard while honoring God.
26 For what will it benefit someone if he gains the whole world yet loses his life? Or what will anyone give in exchange for his life? Matthew 16:26

God thank you for a great weekend. Thank you for the powerful sermon from my pastor. Thank you for allowing my confidence in you not to perish because of this world.
God, I pray that I am productive and alert this week. Let me strive for excellence in my work and my family. I pray that I can be a great influence to those around me so they will seek the kingdom of heaven.
If there is anything I need to change – I pray that it be done in the name of Jesus. Let me continue to have a purpose and passion for life. Let me see myself and others the way you see us.
Anything that I am in need of letting it be fulfilled.
Your kingdom come your will be done on earth how it is done inn heaven.
In Jesus name – Amen
